September Soaring Eagles

The Soaring Eagle Award was started to acknowledge students who demonstrate one of our school norms: community, growth, respect, innovation, and service. Teachers and staff have an opportunity to nominate one student. The following students received the Soaring Eagle Award for September.


  1. Siena from Preschool 3s for demonstrating acts of respect and service by being a kind and respectful friend. She is helpful and shows care and respect for her classroom and classmates. 

  2. Violet from Preschool 4s for demonstrating acts of respect and service by being polite, kind, and caring for others. She takes the initiative to help friends in need. She is a bright light who goes above and beyond what is expected of her. 

  3. Claire from PreK for demonstrating respect and service by always greeting her teacher with a big smile and an even bigger hug. She has a positive attitude in the classroom. Claire is thoughtful and constantly shows respect and kindness to others in and out of class.

  4. Vinny from Kindergarten for demonstrating respect and growth by respecting the school and classroom rules. He is a great role model for his class, as he always follows directions.

  5. Benzie from 1st grade for demonstrating the acts of community and growth by improving her organization and listening skills. She has grown in her ability to focus on her work at hand.

  6. Aria from 3rd grade for demonstrating the act of growth by trying harder and harder to solve problems on her own. She is always trying her best in class.

  7. Sofiia from 3rd grade for demonstrating acts of respect, growth, and innovation by always being respectful to her teachers and classmates. She shares many creative ideas and background knowledge on current subject areas in class.

  8. Josie from 4th grade for demonstrating the acts of the community by going above and beyond in being kind and caring towards her classmates. She looks for ways to help, encourage, and include others.

  9. Giuliana from 4th grade for demonstrating acts of community, respect, service, and innovation by displaying extraordinary character to her classmates at school. She is kind, generous, patient, and resourceful.

  10. Liam from 5th grade for demonstrating the acts of service by cleaning and straightening the clipboards in music class without being asked.

  11. Finnegan from 7th grade for demonstrating the acts of community and service by helping a fellow student clean up a mess in the cafeteria without being asked. He also consistently helps his homeroom teacher by putting chairs on desks at the end of the day to make it easier for the room to be cleaned.

  12. Vanessa from 7th grade for demonstrating the acts of community by being a light in the classroom community. She always includes her classmates in group work and is warm and friendly to everyone.
