The Soaring Eagle Award was started to acknowledge students who demonstrate one of our school norms: community, growth, respect, innovation, and service. Teachers and staff have an opportunity to nominate one student. The following students received the Soaring Eagle Award for October.
- Mia from Preschool 3s for demonstrating acts of respect, growth, innovation, and service by looking for ways that she can be helpful to others. She is always ready with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. Her caring ways help to keep the classroom running smoothly.
- Jack from Preschool 4s for demonstrating acts of respect and growth by putting forth effort and trying new things. He asks for help when needed and is quick to help others. His confidence is growing! He is always respectful of his classmates. His kind demeanor, sense of humor, and warm smile brighten our classroom.
- Brynna from PreK for demonstrating acts of community, respect, growth, and service by greeting her teacher and class with a big smile daily. She has a positive outlook and is a thoughtful student. She constantly shows respect and kindness both in and out of class.
- Colin from Kindergarten for demonstrating acts of community, respect, and growth by going out of his way to help other students when they don’t understand directions or their schoolwork. He has also grown academically and has become a great listener. Keep growing spiritually!
- Maggie from 1st grade for demonstrating acts of respect and growth by being very respectful to her classmates and teacher. She has shown terrific academic growth during the month.
- Presley from 3rd grade for demonstrating acts of respect, growth, and innovation by showing respect to her teacher and fellow students. She has shown tremendous growth academically since the beginning of the year. She shows innovation in the risks she takes by sharing her creativity.
- Paraskeva from 3rd grade for demonstrating acts of growth and service by always helping her classmates. She explains directions and shows them how to find the answers.
- Sean from 4th grade for demonstrating the acts of community, respect, growth, and service by showing confidence in his abilities since the beginning of the school year. He has adopted the, “I can do this!” attitude. Sean is helpful to those around him and to his teacher.
- Liam from 4th grade for demonstrating the act of respect by being a friend to everyone and always looking for ways to help. He is a role model who consistently follows directions quickly and quietly. He recently went above and beyond to help a friend in the library. He is respectful and helpful when classroom tasks need to be completed. Liam leads by example!
- Nolan from 5th grade for demonstrating the act of service by being willing to help people in class if they need it. If the class is doing something on the Chromebook and someone doesn’t know how to get there, Nolan will help!
- Anthony from 8th grade for demonstrating the acts of community, respect, and service by consistently modeling respect at St. Francis. He is always ready to lend a helping hand to his teachers and classmates. He understands what it means to contribute to the community positively.
